This program will describe recruiting and hiring trends across the state of PA, including information about growing industries and professions.

Marcia Zaruba O’Connor is the CEO and Founder of The O’Connor Group (TOC), a leading provider of Human Resources outsourcing and Recruitment-as-a-Service for the Life Science, Healthcare, Professional Service, Information Technology, and Manufacturing sectors. TOC offers monthly webinars on an array of HR and career topics and Marcia has spoken to My Career Transitions, a local nonprofit organization that support job seekers. In March 2023, she launched a non-profit called Shadow Her that empowers women entrepreneurs of all backgrounds, ages, and abilities and provides mentorship, advocacy, and educational resources. Marcia also created the region’s annual HR Person of the Year Award, the monthly Women’s CEO Breakfast Club, and the Executive Women Networking Series.
Before founding TOC, Marcia held senior-level positions at Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting and was the Director of the Human Capital Practice for the Philadelphia Office of Resources Global Professionals (RGP), a global leading provider of project professionals. She earned her MS degree in Human Organization Development from Villanova and her BS degree in Accounting from Widener University. Not a PACDA or PSCA member?: You may be able to obtain Act 48 credit. After the event, complete the post-event survey, then email ceu@thepacda.org to obtain your certificate of attendance. Submit this to the Pennsylvania Department of Education via your local education agency, which will have the final say on whether this program qualifies for Act 48 credit. Or, you may submit via the Pennsylvania School Counselor Association for $10.
